Thank you Mr. Dembo for sharing your son's favorite (and yours too!) story to Mrs. Serazin's first grade classroom today. We love connecting with interesting people during March is Reading Month!
Second graders work hard at "fixing up" their work. Students work in partner groups to help and learn from each other.
Mrs Meeker-Fitchett's class enjoyed a field trip to the local YMCA! They learned how to be safe around water and enjoyed free time in the pool. Fun was had by all!
For March is Reading month, I have asked the families of our students to join us via google hangout and read us their favorite picture book. I have also asked fellow educators and community members to hangout with us! Today we had Michael Medvinsky read his favorite book "Pete the Cat Rocking in my School Shoes" by Eric Litwin. Mr. Medvinsky is a middle school teacher in the Bloomfield Hills School District and a very engaging reader. If you are interesting in "Google Hangout" with us, please let me know! Mrs. Serazin Mrs. Fiedler's fifth grade classroom shared an impromptu "March is Reading Month" activity at our Friday assembly this week. The students decided yesterday what they wanted to share with the whole building and used their indoor recess to practice. Amazing job 5th grade! At our fabulous school, we have an assembly each and every Friday to recognize and showcase the amazing things our students do. At the conclusion of each assembly, we sing our Howard D Crull school song. For your viewing pleasure... our song! |
