Students in Mrs. Watt's first grade classroom performed a play called "The Noise Festival" to all three kindergarten classrooms. The children were from a reading group in the classroom and have been working on dialog and using voice to make the performance interesting for the audience to hear.

Students in Mrs. Serazin's first grade classroom has been working on "wonderings." Students have been doing a research project about something that they "had a wondering about" using (nonfiction) animals as the base. Once the students researched about their animal and found three to four facts, they make a "wonder bubble" with those facts. First graders then used the augmented reality app on the ipads called Aurasma to showcase their learning. Fantastic job first graders! All three third grade classrooms at Crull Elementary went on a field trip today to Port Huron Northern. There, students from AP Biology and Chemistry planned and taught different science experiment stations to the third grade students. It was a wonderful experience for both the elementary AND high school students. Thank you to Mrs Houle and Mrs. Grabbitt for planning this amazing learning opportunity! Our 5th grade friends enjoyed a visit to Holland Woods. They were able to see the school, meet some of the teachers and staff, and tour the building.
Our goal at Howard D Crull Elementary is to "Speak with Kindness" during the month of March. Each classroom has a giant heart, placed where everyone can see it, that contains the specific goal the room is going to work on. We want to start of chain reaction of kindness at Crull, starting with our words! |
